Thrust washers from National Bearings are manufactured from selected steels and hardened to precision standards. They are then tumble polished to a fine mirror finish. The surface is hard, smooth, accurate, flat, and longwearing. The polishing procedure produces slightly rounded edges that completely deburrs the washer. Dimensionally, they approach the quality of ground washers at significantly less cost. These thrust washers are sold in combination with National Bearings’ thrust retainers to form thrust bearings. By themselves, the washers are used as races, spacers, separators, wear plates, or low cost bearings.

National offers flat thrust washers, keyed thrust washers and tabbed thrust washers. If we don’t have the exact size you need, tooling is fast, simple, and inexpensive.

Design to fit your space

Thrust discs from National Bearings come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Made from selected steels like our thrust washers, these hardened, highly polished discs offer a low friction wear surface for ball screws, mounting brackets, true position locks and a multitude of other applications. Sometimes called thrust slugs, these discs can be D-shaped, square, round or made with a flat as an air relief for easy insertion. Thrust discs are often made in varying thicknesses to take up different tolerances in the same application. The parts can be color coded or marked in the die for easy identification. Similar to thrust washers, custom sizes are available with quick turn-around, inexpensive tooling.
